Not only that but the post-Chaos end game, which is currently a pretty relaxing affair, will instead see a shift back towards the pre-Chaos, well, chaos. The campaign itself is getting a few welcome changes too, with promises that AI will be less inclined to buy their way out of conflict and instead focus on shoring up allies. Blood Knights can also be directly improved with two technologies: Turning Knightly Orders (bonuses to Melee Attack, Melee Defence and Charge Bonus), and Delusions of Grandeur (Upkeep and Recruitment Cost reductions). They also have the Frenzy ability, meaning they deal more damage as long as their leadership is high.
Heavily armoured and shielded with a high Charge Bonus, they smash into infantry with ease, and with the Anti Large ability, they are apt to take on larger foes. Tier 5 Shock Cavalry, Blood Knights are recruitable from the Vampire’s Keep building (along with the Black Coach).

The number of changes are actually pretty impressive, and the update will also include the first bit of free new content for the game in the form of a powerful late-game cavalry units for Vampires called Blood Knights. An update focused on adding polish and making overall tweaks and balances to the game. But even so, Creative Assembly will be releasing the first update to the game later today. It's safe to say that outside of some minor issues the release of Total War: Warhammer was a relatively smooth one. Realm of The Wood Elves has a release date of December 8. By far the most powerful and versatile archers in the game, they can equip a range of magical arrows, fire on the move, and are often joined by their Woodland allies such as Dryads, Great Eagles, Forest Dragons and vast, ancient Treemen. In battle, they offer a swift, glass-cannon playstyle. Ranging forth from the enchanted forests of Athel Loren, they may capture any settlement in The Old World and set up expansionary outposts. With a rich suite of lore-inspired campaign and battle mechanics, Total War: WARHAMMER’s first Elven race offers a playstyle unlike any other. Following in the footsteps of the recent Beastmen pack we got, this new bit of DLC not only introduces a new race to the game (the Wood Elves) but also a new forest-themed campaign. But, that's all set to change with the latest Wood Elves DLC due for release next month. Since release, Total War: Warhammer has had it's fair share of additional content, unfortunately most of it hasn't been all that spectacular.

Yeah, happy anniversary Creative Assembly! Called Regiments of Renown these units will be free to all Total War: Warhammer as a way to celebrate 30 years in the business.
